POSITION SUMMARY:
The Community Coordinator is responsible for the functioning of the organization under policies established by the DCN's Board of Directors. The Community Coordinator is responsible for all program activities and events, membership retention and recruitment, financial control and reporting, tourism functions, and office/visitor center operations.
Position Overview:
This role reports directly to the DCN Board of Directors and oversees a bookkeeper, membership manager, and a team of Welcome Center employees and volunteers. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain strong relationships with DCN members and community stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated creativity in previous roles
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Comfortable interacting with a diverse group of members, visitors, and town officials
Knowledge of Door County and the Town of Liberty Grove’s businesses and local history is preferred
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Valid driver’s license required
Work Schedule:
The position requires working weekends and evenings for events, with flextime available when applicable.
Compensation:
Base salary is $30,000, negotiable based on digital marketing and social media experience.
