Mojo Restaurant Group, based in Door County, Wisconsin and home to Village Cafe, Villaggios Italian Steakhouse, Mojo Rosa’s, Bangkok Asian Takeout, and Pink Bakery & Catering, is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Chef who’s passionate about leading a kitchen team, has knowledge of current culinary trends and the ability to infuse them into our core menu, and a high level of comfort in engaging with diners.
We are hiring for four different chef positions. The first is at our authentic Italian concept, Villaggios Italian Steakhouse, which will be moving into a new, larger space in May 2021. The second is at Mojo Rosa’s, our Mexican-American hybrid. The third is for Bangkok, our spin on classic Asian takeout, and our fourth is Village Cafe, our comfort food breakfast and lunch spot. All four of these opportunities would be great for a chef with a strong vision — and an owner mentality — that wants to enhance and strengthen restaurant concepts that are well-established with regular clientele.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Leading all kitchen staff and assigning work
- Interviewing and training staff
- Kitchen inventory management
- Ensuring all food safety regulations are followed
- Creating new dishes and managing the restaurant’s menu, including options for those with dietary needs or restrictions
- Partnering with FOH staff on promotions and marketing for the restaurant
- Talking with customers as needed
