LINE COOK

Seeking year round, part-time or full time cook; flexible on the number of shifts/week available. Shift length varies from 6-14 hours depending on the season and if it is a single or double shift.  Some prep cook shifts may be available.

  • Assemble, combine, & cook ingredients.
  • Measure ingredients & seasonings to be used in cooking.
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, and cutting meat.
  • Attend to the presentation and detail of each order, including appropriate garnishes.
  • Coordinate food output with others on the line.
  • Follow directions & recipes. 
  • Execute hot and cold food production in accordance with standards.
  • Make sure all food in the cooler is dated and anything out of date is thrown away immediately.
  • Ensure all ingredients and necessary items are stocked.
  • Maintain daily running prep list.
  • Be aware of and limit waste. 
  • Follow safety standards.
  • Value personal hygiene & contribute to a clean work environment.
  • If you notice something is broken or out of place, take care of it, or communicate the information to whom it concerns.
  • Give feedback on menu updates and kitchen protocols. We are seeking staff that help us learn and grow from our collective experience.
  • Communicate with the front of house and other back of house staff timely, effectively, and respectfully.
  • Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Maintain professional and respectful working relationships.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.

  • Training cook wage $15-25/hr; working wage will be based on expertise and performance.

PREP COOK 

Seeking year round, part-time prep cook; flexible on the number of shifts/week available. Shift length varies from 4-8 hours depending on the season and how busy the restaurant is. Some cooking shifts may be available.

  • Undertake basic cooking duties like boil pasta, boil potatoes, and make & bake pizzas.
  • Make salads, potato salad, cole slaw, and prep bread, etc.
  • Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, and cutting meat.
  • Dice, chop, slice, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Measure ingredients & seasonings to be used in cooking.
  • Follow directions & recipes. 
  • Support the cooks behind the line as needed.
  • Execute cold food production in accordance with standards.
  • Make sure all food in the cooler is dated and anything out of date is thrown away immediately.
  • Ensure all ingredients and necessary items are stocked.
  • Maintain daily running prep list.
  • Be aware of and limit waste.
