At Door County Cooperative you will be part of a team supporting our local farm community. You will be working directly with producers on the farm and in the field alongside our team at Door County Cooperative that has a passion for agriculture, while adding value to the process and improving our customer’s experience. 

 

Serve as a contact for our customers while providing recommendations and offering solutions that allow growers to realize efficient crop production.  Provide crop scouting services to identify weed, insect, disease and plant nutrition concerns.  Assist team with soil sampling, field mapping, record keeping, and various crop production activities.  Collect, analyze and interpret various test results and prepare progress reports accordingly.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads specific crop support commodities to and from specified destinations
  • Maintains compliance with Company DOT requirements and Drivers Manual
  • Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures
  • Meets all applicable DOT and WI Dept. Agriculture and WDNR rules and regulations
  • Hold or be able to obtain Pesticide Applicator Training license (PAT)
  • Provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires
  • Supports customer demand by working evening hours and weekends, as needed
  • Participates in required on call rotation for after hours and weekend deliveries or response
  • Attention to detail with ability to work un-supervised.
  • Must hold a valid Wisconsin driver’s license with the opportunity to secure a CDL
  • Potential to obtain pesticide applicator training license (PAT)

Qualifications

 

  • Education and background in the Agricultural Field preferred
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, organized and able to work without direct supervision
  • Strong work ethic, honest, dependable and passionate about the business of agriculture
  • Driver must have the ability to lift heavy objects up to 60 lbs., be able to pull, push, stand, walk without assistance, work outside in varying weather
  • CDL A/B preferred
  • Ability to follow company processes and procedures
  • Effective communication skills
